Danielle Johnson is a native of Jesup, GA, a small town in Southeast Georgia where she excelled both, academically and athletically. She is a graduate of Hampton University, where she received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biological Sciences. But, it was also there, at her “Home by the Sea” that her life was forever changed in more ways than one.
After graduating from Hampton, she began a career in HIV Research but was quickly introduced to the world of Pharmaceutical Sales while attending an Alumni meeting. For over 15 years, Danielle had worked for some of the top Pharmaceutical companies in the world including, Pfizer, Sanofi-Aventis, and Astra-Zeneca…to name a few.
She’s served in various leadership and mentorship roles, received multiple promotions, and sold in various therapeutic areas including mental health/anti-depressant market. All the while, struggling with severe depression and suicidal ideation brought on by trauma from years past and feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem. She wore the mask very well!
Presently, Danielle works as a Professional Relations Liaison for a multi-location psychiatric hospital organization that specializes in mental illness for the treatment of severe Eating Disorders and co-occurring psychological illnesses. She is a Motivational Speaker, a member of the board for the S.O.A.R organization (Supporting Others to Achieve Recovery). She founded the, “YOU ARE MORE THAN!” non-profit organization in 2018 to empower, motivate, and invest in young women and girls to be believe and values themselves and grow beyond their fears. Danielle knows and now has the courage and confidence to follow God’s guidance and share her story to help those who “wear the mask” so beautifully, take it off and for those who haven’t, never put it on!
